Sargonian No. 555
A humanoid civilization from the Andromeda Galaxy that calls themselves Akkadians discovers they are not alone. They find that the third planet from a sun in their neighboring galaxy is inhabited by humans. However, they soon realize these humans face inevitable extinction due to several impending disasters.
Although the Akkadians possess technologies that will save Earth from several catastrophes, their technology cannot save their own solar system's planets from doom. Their leaders are enlightened and benevolent and agreed to offer Earth their assistance. The story chronicles a landing on Earth by lost ancient Akkadian astronauts over 4,400 Earth years ago. After our peoples finally meet in your year 2057 AD, the story goes on to tell of joint decisions that may save both civilizations.
About Mark J. Palmer
Mr. Palmer was President/CTO in charge of an electronics cleaning chemicals company from 2010 until his retirement in July 2024. Over those years, he wrote several trade magazine articles and technical papers for the electronics industry.
During the COVID ‘lockdown,’ he spent countless hours watching Sci-Fi movies on streaming services. He found himself, time and again, turning off many of these C, D, and F movies within minutes. Their lack of a plot or poor scripting inspired him to write something better. In late 2020, he began crafting his first novel, ‘Sargonian No. 555’. It is a tale of intergalactic humanity with a cohesive plot using conceivable technology.
